“The Sky” will be the first skyscraper in the southeast… and it will be in Mérida

Mérida would be the first in the southeast to have a so-called 'skyscraper' building. This is the real estate project called "The Sky" and would have a height of 150 meters and would house offices and department stores.

Currently the tallest building in Mérida is the "County Towers", with its 102 meters high; so the Sky project will far exceed it - 48 meters.

The skyscraper would be located on the north peripheral, diagonal 19th street, near the exit bridge to the Temozón hacienda.

Without specifying investment figures and the start date of the project, the real estate developer SkyCapital projects what will be the first skyscraper in the southeast, in which they contemplate that it will have 39 or 40 floors, of which eight would be underground and destined for parking.

The developer's office commented that the pre-sale of offices would come out approximately between the months of November and December of this year.

It should be noted that this would be the fourth SkyCapital project in Yucatan: “SkyCity”, a multifunctional; “SkyWork” (opposite Plaza La Isla); “SkyPark”, of industrial warehouses and now the skyscraper “The Sky”.

With this real estate development, the capital of Yucatan would have the tallest building in the cities of the region such as Cancun, Campeche, Villahermosa and Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
